Freedom Tech: Bitcoin, Psychedelics, and God
Updated: Sep 18
Aloha Fellow Freedom Lover,
Bitcoin. Psychedelics. God.
Three things your Mama probably wouldn’t want you arguing about at the dinner table.
At my dinner table, these are not edgy or taboo topics to be feared or avoided. They are three of the most powerful doorways I have found into freedom, LOVE, and purpose.
So pull up a chair, grab a yummy coffee, and let’s dive in.

Dear God, Are You There? It’s Me, Margaret.
IYKYK.
My family wasn’t religious, but as a young girl, I was curious about this miraculous white-robed God people spoke of.
When I was 13, I remember riding my bike in Tempe, AZ, taking myself to Sunday church at different places. I explored, yet felt icky every time I left. Still, I kept trying because I wanted to know this God character.
My young mind didn’t understand: if God was so almighty and powerful, why create the devil, evil, and allow children to starve in Africa?
I didn’t grasp why, if God was everywhere, I could only talk to God through mere mortal men—priests and preachers.
I didn’t understand why God, who is supposed to be all-loving and forgiving, would condemn me to a fiery hellscape for eternity if I made mistakes and didn’t follow laws written by these mere mortals.
That made zero sense.
So, after many confusing attempts, I ditched the whole idea of God—until that night under the streetlight.
Doorways on the Sidewalks
Two years later, during my freshman year of high school, my friend Sandy and I got some LSD from her brother, the local dealer.
He told us it would be cool. We wanted to be cool, so we put that tiny paper square on our tongues and waited, and waited, and waited to be cool.
Little did we know, as we wandered like pirates around the neighborhood, slowly slipping into our rainbow trip, that our minds would be blown to smithereens on the sidewalk in front of her house for the next eight hours.
All at once, everything started to make sense and NOT make sense.
I was looking for God but couldn’t find “Him.” Instead, I saw and felt the interconnectivity of everything—all of the above, all of the time, forever and beyond.
Listening to the crickets serenade us into the sunrise, I definitely felt something beautiful, mysterious, and sacred beyond my messy, lonely, and traumatized 15-year-old world.
Was it “God”? Of course it was. Just minus the white robe.
After that, I was changed forever but had no one I trusted to talk with about the cosmic soul tsunami I just lived through.
The next 40+ years turned into a magical mystery tour of seeking meaning. I lived on a sailboat, felt miserable as an accountant in corporate, DJed around the world, had a family, faced entrepreneur stress, peri-menopause meltdown, an unsafe marriage, alcohol abuse, demons, a suicide attempt, rehab, freedom, loneliness, regret, shame, relapse, single-parenting failures, life-saving Ibogaine, life-remodeling, victories, and reconnection with my truth and the power of LOVE ~ GOD.
Why the heck am I telling you all this?
Because if you are like me and many humans, you’re a badass most of the time, and you seek relief—freedom—from pain and suffering every chance you get.
What I had to learn the hard way was there is no pill, sip, or trip that will “heal” you of your trauma, pain, and disconnection or make you “cool” or give you lasting freedom.
They are simply doorways, and you must do the integration and daily work—proof of work—to get lasting results.
You don’t go to the dentist once a year and expect your teeth to stay pearly clean.
Why would we expect that with our mental and spiritual health?
Sadly, what I see now, especially in “conscious” communities, are pseudo-shamans pretending to be enlightened souls on a mission to free humanity. They serve “tea,” facilitate weekend warrior psychedelic journeys, administer Ibogaine to folks suffering from addiction, and then send you on your merry little way—minus a few thousand bucks, no integration, no support, energetically naked, vulnerable, and exposed.
I call BS on many of these "shaman" and warn you about these folks. DYOR.
These medicines are powerful tools and can show brand new perspectives.
They can open the doors and windows.
They can let fresh air into rooms you forgot were locked and didn’t even know existed.
But if used carelessly—without preparation, intention, and most importantly, integration—along with not knowing how to close those doors properly, demonic little fuckers get in.
I am not exaggerating or hallucinating.
I used to be so naive, declaring that if I just don’t believe in these evil things, then they can’t hurt me.
Well, you can also declare you don’t believe in water, but you will get wet when sprayed with a garden hose.
Critters. Darkness. Confusion. Spiritual ego. Fantasy. Escapism. All the demonic little parasitic entities can show up when someone blows themselves open and has no safety structure, no support, no God, no daily practice, no way to come and STAY home.
That is why I do not treat psychedelics as "cool" party favors like I used to any longer.
They are spiritual gateways, portals. They can be beautiful. They can also destabilize people and cause real harm.
Set matters.
Setting matters.
Facilitators matter.
Integration matters most.
“But Val, how does this relate to Bitcoin?”
The Dirty Money Piece That I Could Not Solve
Like many people, I grew up with a messy money story.
"The love of money is the root of all evil" was etched in the wallpaper of my childhood.
I watched rich dudes hoard obscene amounts of wealth, power, and corruption while regular people struggled, children starved, and I thought, “FTS... I want nothing to do with that vibe.”
Of course, I woke up from my idealism and got smacked in the face with the reality of mortgages and diapers, but money itself still felt dirty and extractive.
So when I started building the 11x LOVE Method, money was the dimension that made me cringe.
God made sense. Soul made sense. Mind, Body, Romance, Family, Community, Purpose, Time, Environment... all of that clicked.
Money sat in the corner, rocking back and forth like a creepy uncle at Thanksgiving.
Of course, I knew money mattered. I am an entrepreneur. But I could not figure out how to make money feel spiritual and integrate with the other 10 dimensions.
It felt corrupted. Heavy. Gross.
I was stuck.
Then during Covid, I learned about the 40% money supply increase (purchasing power theft) and found Bitcoin.
It took some research to understand the difference between Bitcoin, crypto, and fiat, but once I did, it was like a nuclear bomb detonated my old story about money.
Bitcoin gave me a new frame for money. Not money as control. Not money as greed. Not money as a game where the people closest to the printer win.
Money as energy.
Money as stored life force.
Money as proof of work.
So it wasn’t actually money that was toxic; it was the kind of money—centralized fiat—that is toxic.
Bitcoin is opt-in. Permission-less. Decentralized. No central bank. Rules, not rulers.
Same rules for everyone.
That matters to me spiritually.
Because to me, Bitcoin is not about getting rich quick.
It is about sovereignty.
It is about honoring human energy.
It is about creating a system where no one needs permission to hold, send, save, or receive value between peers.
That is why I call Bitcoin Ethical Money. Spiritual money. God's money.
No middleman gatekeeper.
No special class, no pre-mine, no first receivers of the Cantillon Effect.
No censorship or banks denying you service because of your beliefs.
Fair access and a fixed supply.
Bitcoin finally gave money a home inside my spiritual operating system.
How 3 Tools for Freedom: Bitcoin, Psychedelics, and God Overlap
Bitcoin is just a tool.
Psychedelics are tools.
Prayer and meditation are tools.
Doorways. Gateways. What you bring to them, and what you do after, is where the magic happens.
And this is super important: pure tools do not guarantee pure people.
There are bad actors and scammers in Bitcoin.
There are grifters and predators in psychedelic spaces.
There are spiritual teachers who abuse and manipulate their followers.
This is not a reason to close yourself off.
It is not a reason to swallow the black pill and trust nothing because you got burned before.
The isolation path leads nowhere and builds nothing of value.
It is the ultimate reason to develop discernment.
Do your own research.
Take responsibility for who you learn from, who you sit with, and where you spend your energy and your money.
Always remember, the powers that be do not want you to be free because it threatens their power.
So they will constantly do things to undermine and manipulate anything that gives you freedom, like Bitcoin, an open mind through psychedelics, and a one-on-one relationship with God.
I am not writing this to convince you to buy Bitcoin, sit with medicine, or use the word God.
I am encouraging you to connect with your God, learn about your money, and take back control of your mind.
Keep your heart open. Stay curious. And keep your BS detector alert at the same time.
And….protect your freedom every day.
It is a gift.
Remember...
You are LOVE and You are LOVED.
Wishing You Peace, LOVE, and Warm Aloha,
